Description
Human recombinant antihemophilic factor (AHF) or Factor VIII, 2332 residues, glycosylated, produced by CHO cells.
Indications
The human recombinant antihemophilic factor is indicated for use in adults and children with hemophilia A for the control and prevention of bleeding episodes, perioperative management, and routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes. 2,
Pharmacodynamics
Antihemophilic Factor binds factor
IXa along with calcium and phospholipid, This complex converts factor X to factor Xa to facilitate clotting cascade.
