Mechanism of Action
Levofloxacin is an antibiotic of the
Floroquinolone group, which is used to treat different bacterial infections and is used to kill or prevent the growth of bacteria; where its ability to form and repair its DNA is disrupted.
Levofloxin is used to treat bacterial infections only, and viral infections such as cold or flu are not treated, and use them needlessly or wrongly can reduce the bacterial response to antibiotics and make them resistant to treatment in the future.
Leffluxin begins to function a few hours after taking it, but usually the symptoms improve after three days of commitment to do so, yet the entire treatment must be completed; to avoid re-infection.
