Mechanism of Action
Mechanism of action
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), belonging to the propionics group, derived from arylcarboxylic acid.
It has analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and short-term inhibitory properties of platelet functions.
All of these properties are linked to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
